Au Pair in Barcelona, Spain

The Au Pair in Spain program allows young girls the opportunity to study Spanish while working as an au pair and studying Spanish in exchange for a stipend, housing and meals. 

Barcelona is the innovative, modern capital of the Catalonia region of Spain. Barcelona is rich in history and culture, and is the home to many famous landmarks such as Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia church. Located on the Mediterranean Sea and with easy access to other European countries, this dynamic and diverse city offers its visitors numerous festivals, and sporting and cultural events all year round.

Most placements are found in September for au pairs wishing to work and study for 6 to 12 months; however, summer placements are possible for those wishing to stay for only 2 or 3 months. The stipend you will receive is based on the number of hours you work per week, but can range between 205 and 360 Euros per month.  Au pairs provide a maximum of 30 hours of childcare per week, and may be asked to baby-sit in the evenings, but no more than 3 times per week.
