Volunteer In Argentina
International Volunteer programs include placement, housing and meals.
The Volunteer in Argentina Program provides the unique opportunity to live and work in Argentina. You'll experience first-hand its rich cultural diversity while cultivating a superior level of Spanish proficiency. Possible fields of interest include social work, education, tourism, cultural work and catering. While most of projects take place in Buenos Aires, there are also projects located outside of the city.
The Spanish Language School
The language school is located in Belgrano, one of the lovely residential neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Small class sizes of no more than 6 students and an interactive teaching method that focuses on grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills allow you to develop confidence in both the written and spoken language. After a placement test, you'll be placed in a class according to your level of Spanish - from beginner to superior levels.
Room and Board While Volunteering in Argentina
Accommodation is included in the Program Fee for the duration of the 8- week program.
Language School Housing
During the 4-week language course you will be living with an Argentinean host family, which will allow you the opportunity to get to know the country and its people better, as well as to practice your language skills outside of the classroom setting. Most host families live about 25-35 minutes walking distance from the school and in these cases regular public transport is available - buses or metro ('the subte') at a cost of $1.00. Taxis are also cheap and cost approximately $3-$5. You will have your own private room (with a lock) and will share the living room, kitchen, bathroom and if available, courtyard or garden with the family and any other students. Host families provide two meals a day, breakfast and dinner.
Volunteer Project Housing
Your housing during the 4-week volunteer placement will be in a student flat - great option for those who enjoy contact with other students from different parts of the world. There are no meals included in this option but isn't it great fun to go to the supermarket in Buenos Aires and prepare some food with friends from different countries? The flats are located in safe residencial neighborhoods and offer the students maximum security and the comfort of a fully equipped kitchen, along with furnished living room and bedrooms.
