Language School Housing and Meal Options in Costa Rica

San José

Home stay: You'll have the opportunity to live with a Costa Rican host family. A private room, keys to the house, breakfast, dinner and laundry service are all provided. The host families are middle class and most of the families in San Jose live within walking distance from the school. We choose the families according to their interest in sharing with foreigners and the evaluations we have received from previous students. Some families can accommodate students who are traveling with children.

Apartments in San José: Fully furnished, located 1 block from the school, internet access, cable TV, telephone, 3 bedrooms (1 double bed each), one bathroom. Prices include: cleaning, internet, cable TV, electricity and water. Whole apt: $65/night; $400 wk; $1300/month. For staying more than 3 months $1000 per month.
Sharing apt (priv. room): $35/night; $180 week; $700 month (30% more if it is double). For staying more than 3 months: $500 per month.

Cabinas Espadilla: These bungalows are located about a quarter mile from the beach. Single or double occupancy is available. May-November: $55 ($70 for an air-conditioned bungalow); December-April: $85 ($90 for and air-conditioned bungalow). Meals are not included. Hotel prices are per night and include taxes. There are other hotels with higher or lower prices.
