Educational Volunteers in India

 

You will participate in educational enhancement for primary school students, specifically in the areas of English, Math, and enhancing creativity. You'll receive detailed workbooks and guidelines for teaching before beginning this project.

The volunteer activities in the field include:

• Teaching children English and Math
• Creating a playful environment and enhancing the creativity of the children through painting, playing games, singing, etc.
• Working with local teachers to create low-cost teaching material and training teachers to make education more fun
• Taking responsibility for everyday attendance of children at the school, in an attempt to improve overall interest in the school and reduce drop-out rate
• Ensuring regular health check-ups of the children in each school through cooperation with the local doctors and hospital staff
• Creating basic hygiene awareness
• Establishing and reinforcing empowerment and confidence-building of teenage girls by providing them with computer and English skills
• Other skill-building activities, like bicycling and sport-related activities
