Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Option
With more than 12,000 licensed venues in New South Wales responsible serving and responsible drinking of alcohol has become an important issue in recent years. As part of responsible service of alcohol, venues must prevent drunkenness, minors accessing liquor, and understand that irresponsible liquor practices lead to problems both on and off the premises. Responsible service of alcohol training is now mandatory for people working in the NSW liquor industry, including licensees, club secretaries, permanent and casual servicing staff, and security staff. Therefore, it is essential that our participants take the RSA course if they want to work in the hospitality service where they would be serving or dealing with alcohol in New South Wales. Candidates with previous experience in hospitality and a completed RSA course will have a better chance to get a job placement here in Sydney as approximately 40% of WTC jobs are hospitality work and most of them require an RSA certificate.
